10 Things You Can Do To Have a Great Day

Want to revamp your life? You can start by charging your day! Here are some things to consider:

1. Wake up and stretch! Whether you do yoga, or basic stretching, this simple act reduces stress and tension, increases circulation, and can create a lasting sense of wellbeing throughout your morning.

2. Take a shower! No seriously, there is something to be said about forcing yourself out a bed, no matter how grumpy or sad you feel, and jump in the shower, setting a positive intentions for the day.

3. Wear clothes that make you feel confident. What we chose to wear can make a powerful representation of what we chose to represent. They can serve to boost our confidence, which encourages positive interaction with others.

4. Eat something! Something healthy, that is! The first thing we put in our mouths can set the tone for the day. Strive to make lemon water the first thing you consume in the morning. A green smoothie can be a meal within itself, especially if you are in a hurry. Food can fuel your mind and your mood, so choose wisely!

5. Meditate while driving (or taking the bus, walking, etc.)…but keep your eyes open :-). “Moving meditation” creates a sense of stillness in chaos, and can provide a great feeling of peace to carry you through your day.

6. Smile and say hello! Greet as many people as possible with positivity and authenticity. You will uplift your own mood, as well as those around you. You never know who’s morning you might brighten by a simple greeting.


7. Make work fun! No matter what your job or profession, find ways your brighten your own day. Bring your favorite mug and herbal tea to work; have a fun or positive conversation with a coworker; give yourself small rewards after meeting a deadline or sitting through a conference call.

8. Take the scenic route home (even if its longer) or take the train. Relax, and don’t let rushhour traffic/crowds get to you. Play your favorite CD (people still use those, right?!), use natural aromatherapy scents in your car, listen to a podcast. Whereas some people arrive home stressed, you can come home calm and ready to enjoy the rest of your day.

9. Do something you love. Whether it’s reading a book, watching a movie, playing with the kids, or working on your business or hobby, it’s important to devote time for both relaxation and living your life purpose.

10. Plan and set your intentions for the next day. This helps you maximize your time and create positive anticipation for the future. A positive affirmation, prayer, or meditation can bring the days events to a reflective and meaningful end.
