Kwanzaa is a very meaningful part of our end-of-the-year celebration for my family. The principles highlighted during each of the seven days of Kwanzaa (Unity, Self-determination, Collective Work & Responsibility, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith) are something that we seek to practice every single day of the year. That being said, health and wellness is the foundation underlying all of these principles. When we feel vibrant and energetic, we are best able to utilize the principles to better our lives, as well as the lives of those around us. With the spirit of Kwanzaa in mind, I created a 7-day juice plan to mirror the 7 principles, to elevate the body, mind, and spirit, and to continue us on the wellness path. Whether or not you celebrate the holiday, I invite you to join us! This is not a “cleanse”, rather, it is an opportunity to add more fresh, living foods to your diet all year round. Similarly, the 7 principles of Kwanzaa are meant to be expressed each day. Enjoy these recipes, and let us know how your 7-day journey has benefited you!
